The 2010-11 season marks NYO’s 5th Annual Concerto Competition. Initiated in 2006, this competition is open exclusively to NYO orchestra members and is a wonderful opportunity for those musicians who wish to challenge themselves further by competing with other motivated musicians within the orchestra. The competition itself occurs in January and each applicant is heard by an esteemed panel of judges. A winner is selected from each orchestra in which members are eligible to audition. These winners are subsequently featured in the the NYO Spring Concert, which is held in May of the same season.
When: Monday, January 17, 2011
Location: Indian Hill Music, Littleton, Massachusetts

Eligibility: Open to NYO Symphonic Orchestra members only.
