Welcome
Operating from Westford Massachusetts, the Nashoba Youth Orchestra (NYO) offers the highest quality music making possible in this quaint suburb located in the Nashoba Valley; northwest of Boston Massachusetts; making this orchestra an attractive alternative to weekend travel to the city. September 2011 will mark NYO’s eighth season of music making. String musicians (violin, viola, cello, bass) through the age of 18 years are invited to join this fine string orchestra organization. An audition is necessary to become a member.
NYO membership benefits include weekly orchestra rehearsals, sectional rehearsals, workshops, masterclasses, concert performances, and optional participation in the annual concerto competition and in chamber music ensembles.
NYO’s audition repertoire guidelines are based on both the ASTA CAP and Suzuki lists.
The Nashoba Youth Orchestra serves the Merrimack Valley and the Nashoba Valley regions, as well as towns within southern New Hampshire.
